The Fashion Show
Our Spring Aerial Showcase will take place:
📅 Saturday, May 16 & Sunday, May 17 - 6:00 PM
Students will need to arrive at 3:00 pm for a mandatory full dress rehearsal running from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. This rehearsal is an important part of the show experience. It is the first time students will see how the full show will run and perform under the stage lights, so attendance is essential. This extra time also allows us to troubleshoot any issues as they arise and ensure everything runs smoothly for the performance. The actual show will be approximately 1 hour.
Doors will open at 5:30 pm and the show will begin promptly at 6:00 pm. Please plan accordingly for parking and expect to wait outside until doors open.
Hair should be pulled up and completely out of the aerialist's face, with clean, polished makeup - nothing heavy or overly bright. No glitter please. Specific requirements by level are as follows:
Intro Level - Hair up and out of the face. We will be adding black under-eye stripes for a fun football player look at dress rehearsal!
Level 1A - Hair up in a bun, off the face. Clean, polished makeup.
Level 1B - Hair up in a bun, off the face. Clean, polished makeup.
Level 2 - Hair in two braids. Clean, polished makeup.
Level 3 - Hair half up with a flower crown or headband. Soft pastel eyeshadow and a rosy, blushed cheek.
Level 4 - TBD.
Performance Week
In lieu of regular classes, students will showcase their Fashion Show routine during gym performance week in the last week of May. This is not a formal show. Think of it as a fun, gym-wide event where all students come together to share what they've been working on.
Dates and times are as follows:
Tuesday, May 26 — Level 4 Arrival: 5:00 pm | Show: 5:30 pm
Wednesday, May 27 — Level 1A, Level 1B, Level 2 Arrival: 5:00 pm | Show: 5:30 pm
Thursday, May 28 — Level 3 Arrival: 5:00 pm | Show: 5:30 pm
Friday, May 29 — Intro & Level 4 Arrival: 5:00 pm | Show: 5:30 pm
Sunday, May 31 — Level TBD Arrival: 1:30 pm | Show: 2:00 pm
Photo Day
Photos will take place on Saturday, May 30th. Professional photos are a beautiful way to commemorate all of the hard work your child has put in this season. We hope to see everyone there!
Students should arrive for photos dressed in their show costume. Students in Intro and Level 2 should also bring a solid color leotard and black leggings for an additional photo look.
Please find your child's level in the schedule below and plan to arrive a few minutes early. Please note that start times are a rough estimate and we will do our best to stay on schedule, but times may shift as the day progresses. Expect to pick your child up within 1 hour of their start time.
Intro - 10:45
Level 1A - 11:15
Level 1B - 11:45
Level 2 - 12:15
Level 3 - 12:45
Level 4 - 1:15
Fun Night
Our annual aerial celebration, Fun Night, is coming up on June 6th from 5:00pm – 9:00pm! This is always one of our favorite evenings of the year. It’s a chance for students across all levels to come together, play, and build connections outside of their regular classes. It's a wonderful opportunity for kids to bond with peers they may not get to train alongside every week.
We will be presenting awards beginning at 8:00pm, and parents are warmly invited to join us for this special portion of the evening. Each award is thoughtfully tailored to celebrate the individual accomplishments of every unique student — because every child's journey deserves to be recognized!
Look for sign up forms coming soon!
Evaluations
Evaluations and class placements will take place in the second week of June. This is a great opportunity to ensure every flyer is at the right level to grow and thrive! Following evaluations, all families will receive a letter with their child's results and class placement.
Summer Schedule
A few things to keep in mind as we head into summer:
July — We will be taking the month off from regular classes
Open Gym options will be available during this time
August — Regular classes resume!
We can't wait to see everyone back in the air!
Reminders
Attendance: We are beginning choreography, which is an exciting and important phase of the season. Because choreography decisions are made in real time, students who are unable to attend regularly may fall behind or need to step out of the portion of the routine currently being worked on.
Aerial Attire - The safest and most effective aerial outfit is a leotard with a fitted long-sleeve top and ankle-tight leggings. Loose shirts can ride up during training, which becomes a safety hazard when students let go of the silks to pull them down.
Please remove all jewelry before class.
Keep nails trimmed and smooth, as long nails can catch or tear the fabric.
"It's okay to be different. Different is beautiful."
